Comfort Apartment - Aparthotel Comodoro
The hotel Comodoro is located in Miramar, the embassy area of Havana. The José Martí international airport lies within a 15 minute drive. The distance to the school is 2-3 kilometers. Daily transfer service to and from the school is available for free. A taxi to the city center costs around 10 CUC.
Cuban private guest house
As a cheap and very basic option we also offer accommodation in private Cuban guest houses where you will live together with your Cuban host and most likely other tourists or students from our school. We would like to point out that we recommend reserving hotel accommodation instead as water and electricity supply is not guarantied in private Cuban houses.
Comfort Apartment - Aparthotel Comodoro
The hotel complex offers several swimming pools, restaurants, bars, cafeteria as well as a pool bar. A small beach belongs to the hotel complex too. Furthermore, there are several leisure and sports facilities offered like gym, beach volleyball, sauna, tennis court and diving (some for an extra fee). Sun chairs at the pool and the beach are available for free.
A shopping complex with a supermarket is only 50 meters away from the hotel. Our apartments are located in the 2 storey bungalows which are surrounded by various pools and beautiful gardens. Each apartment has a terrace or balcony and consists of a living room with kitchenette, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom (this means that up to 4 persons share a bathroom).
The bedrooms are spacious and have either twin beds or a king size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge (minibar), oven, coffee machine, microwave, sandwich maker, cutlery, plates and glasses. All apartments have an air condition, TV and telephone.
We also offer accommodation in our comfort apartments with breakfast.
Return transfer
Return transfer from the airport to your accommodation on arrival and from your accommodation to the airport on departure is available for 32 €.
Arrival & Departure
Your destination airport should be José Martí (La Habana). Taxis and busses are in front of the airport building. If you have reserved accommodation with us the address of your accommodation will be stated in your voucher. This is your address in Cuba which you must state in your tourist card (Visa).
If you have booked a transfer our colleagues will welcome you at the airport in the arrival hall. Please look for our representative with a Sprachcaffe sign and your name in the arrival hall.
If you did not book a transfer please go directly to the accommodation address in La Habana is stated in your voucher. We recommend to take a taxi from the airport to your accommodation which will cost about 25 CUC (its advisable to fix the price before you get on the taxi). The distance between the airport and the Sprachcaffe facilities is about 30km. Public transportin Cuba is unfortunately unreliable.
