To take a Spanish course on Cuba is the first step into the Cuban way of life. Cuban culture open up to everyone who learns Spanish, which provides a real insight into daily Cuban live.
Holiday time is actually the best time to learn a language. This idea is not new, but nevertheless true. However this way of learning does not imply that you have to forget about relaxing and having fun on holiday.
On the contrary, learning becomes integrated into sunbathing, meeting people and other usual holiday activities. |

Cuba’s stimulating surroundings, meeting new people, Cuban culinary delights, thrilling events and performances provide constant incentives to make yourself understood and work on your communication skills.
The key to progressive and effective learning with long-lasting results is the principle of communication, so from the very first day on there is great emphasis on speaking freely.
You will learn the practical side of the language and how to use the vocabulary and expressions in everyday speech. |

Our teaching method
We have developed and improved our teaching method over the years. Our method is based on communication. |

The desire to be involved in the experiences of others is THE motivation for success and will transform learning as quickly as possible into a spontaneous and creative experience.
Our teachers are native speakers and experienced in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. They see their work not only as a job but as a vocation.
They show a lot of commitment; even after the lessons have finished our instructors will give advice and assistance with language difficulties and also to deal with questions concerning local, cultural and sporting events. In addition, they may even spend their free time with our guests. |

Course levels |
| In Cuba we offer all official Spanish course levels. Theses levels are: |
Beginners with little or no knowledge (A1) |
This level is designed for students who have little or no knowledge in Spanish.
● Grammatical structures and vocabulary will give a basic idea of Spanish.
● Conversation focuses on how to converse in everyday situations.
● Reading is an important part of this level for it enables the student to hear and practice correct pronunciation. |
Beginners with basic knowledge (A2) |
After a brief overview over the most important structures taught in level A1, this course focuses on indicative past tenses.
● Grammatical structures are reinforced practically and orally.
● Indicative tenses, especially the past tenses are compared and studied in detail.
● Practical exercises such as informal conversation is used to improve comprehension.
● Conversation is one of the most important parts of this level, students are encouraged to discuss topics in class. |
Intermediate (B1) |
The introduction of this course offers an overview of indicative tenses and then focuses on subjunctive tenses.
● Subjunctive tenses are the main topic studied in grammar class.
● Expressions are taught to enrich vocabulary.
● Conversation focuses on articles taken from magazines which are used for further discussions and dialogues.
● Spanish movies and songs are used to get a better understanding of the Spanish culture. |
Intermediate pre Advanced (B2) |
The aim in B2 Level is to gain an advanced level in Spanish. All standard grammar and vocabulary is assumed to be known.
● Grammatical exceptions as well as difficult grammatical details are taught.
● High level conversation and specialized vocabulary (e.g. business terms) are learnt.
● In all exercises the most important aspect is to speak and communicate in Spanish appropriately and correctly. |
Advanced (C1) & Superior (C2) |
| The aim in our C1 / C2 Level is to gain a proficiency level in Spanish, level C2 is very close to the level of a native speaker. All grammar, exceptions and standard to advanced vocabulary is assumed to be known. |

Course types |
We offer 2 types of courses; Group tuition and private tuition.
● Our groups have a maximum of 8 students per class.
● Each lessons is 45 minutes long.
● After the course students will receive a certificate. |
Group tuition - Holiday course |
The holiday course has 2 lessons per day on 5 days per week, thus a total of 10 lessons per week.
This course will give you an insight into the language and culture and still leave lots of time to enjoy your holiday.
The minimum duration is 2 weeks. |
Group tuition - Standard course |
The standard course has 4 lessons per day on 5 days per week, thus a total of 20 lessons per week.
This course is the best compromise between learning and free time. Four lessons daily guarantee effective learning, while the afternoon remains free for leisure activities.
The first 2 classes usually focus on grammar and the second 2 classes on conversation.
The minimum duration is 2 weeks. |
Group tuition - Intensive course |
The intensive course has 6 lessons per day on 5 days per week, thus a total of 30 lessons per week.
If you want to learn more intensively and in depth, an intensive course is your best option. This course is based upon a standard course; which means that participants take part in the standard course and will have another 2 extra lessons which normally focus on vocabulary. |
Private tuition |
Private tuition with 2, 4 or 6 lessons per day on 5 days per week, thus a total of 10, 20 or 30 lessons per week.
Private language training is the fastest and most efficient way to learn a language or improve your language skills. The content is determined by the student. Timetables are also flexible and can be agreed freely. |

Courses timetable |
Our timetable will typically look like this:
● Holiday course (2 lessons/per day from 9:30 - 11:00)
● Standard Course (4 lessons/per day from 9:30 - 13:00)
● Intensive Course (6 lessons/per day from 8:30 - 14:00)
Our main break is held from 11:00 to 11:30, the intensive course also has 2 smaller breaks from 09:15 to 09:30 and 13:00 to 13:15. Please note that in the high season classes will may be held in the afternoon as well.
The timetable of private tuition will be arranged with the student personally. |
