A must see is the Catedral de La Habana, its two clock towers still stand out high over the city. The baroque facade was built in the typical style of the Italian architect Francesco Borromini.
Next to the cathedral you will find the Palacio de los Marquesas de Aguas Claras built in 1760. Check out the best museums: the Museo de la Ciudad, the Museo de Arte Colonial, and the Museo Casa Natal de José Martí. The most famous restaurants of La Habana are the Floridita and the Bodeguita de Medio. |

Only one and a half hours away from Havana lies the nature park Varadero, which is famous for its beaches and its crystal blue water. Also a perfect destination for a day trip is the national park Zapata, and cities from the colonial times such as Trinidad and Cienfuegos. Pinar del Rio, Cuba's richest tobacco plantation, is not only famous for its cigars but also for its picturesque towns. |
